Yumi Nu shuts down haters

Yumi Nu silences haters

25 year old swimsuit model Yumi Nu doesn’t look like the other models that have graced the cover of Sports Illustrated, and some say that’s a good thing.

Nu received praise while others erupted with fierce criticism on social media taunting her more realistic figure- criticizing her by calling her fat and unhealthy.

We are smaller bigger, taller, shorter, younger, older…we are all of these things, said Williams.

Popular conservative Youtuber Dr. Jordan Peterson tweeted, “sorry not pretty,” in response to Nu in her black swimsuit with equally dark locks gracing her shoulders.

Yet 47 year old Ebony Williams who owns the lingerie store, Puff Mistress, in Jacksonville, Florida and hosts fashion shows featuring models of all sizes says it’s about time.  Williams says sexy isn’t just a size two.

“I think it is awesome that we are FINALLY as a society starting to see more imagery that reflects what people in this society ACTUALLY look like. We are smaller, bigger, taller, shorter, younger, older…we are all of these things,” said Williams.

For years Williams has worked with women of all ages and sizes to help them realize that what others think isn’t what matters. She said it’s not surprising that so many of us our brainwashed into thinking that there’s an ideal body type and look, which quite frankly doesn’t look like many women that really exist.  Williams knows from first hand experience. After giving birth to two kids and taking medication to battle lupus she was left with stretch marks and a significant amount of weight gain.

“I ended up losing 70 pounds in the process. Although, I was significantly smaller, I didn’t like how my body looked. It was even more wrinkly and flabby. I had an awakening. Either I was going to allow myself to feel low although I literally worked hard and lost what equals a small child in weight, OR I was going to decide to embrace it! I decided to embrace and love every inch of my body BECAUSE it was aging and going through life the natural way,” said Williams.

Cover model Nu is doing the same thing.

A clip on social media shows Nu mouthing the words “Give up. It’s me. I win.  You loose.”

The backlash from Jordan Peterson’s comments forced him off Twitter.

A fan of Nu’s posted online, “Single handedly got Jordan Peterson off Twitter. & looked AMAZING while doing it. Queeeen.”

Williams is also cheering Nu on.

Not shy the 47 year old Williams is the face of her brand Puff Mistress. She’s posed in front of the camera countless times wearing pieces from her store.

“I put myself out there everyday and face some criticism and negative feedback, but it’s worth it to spread the message. Confidence is loud and boisterous.  My message is loud, BE Bold, Be Confident, Be Unapologetic: Be Sexy for Yourself First,” said Williams.
